Gandhi Now
Facilitated by Vicky Powers, Nadene Donner, and Carol Stedronsky
Sunday mornings beginning September 19

How does Mahatma (Mahondas) Gandhi's message relate to us in the twenty-first century and how does this lead us to respond to his teachings and his hopes for humankind?

Come explore the life of Gandhi from the perspective of his grandson.  Read from Gandhi's own teachings and wisdom and discover how you resonate with his message through art and your original written word.  We will be sharing our work in our newly launched "art gallery" in the coffee gathering area of the Sanctuary in the weeks following the class.  This experience will culminate with the visit from Rajmohan Gandhi at Davis Community Church on October 24th.

The Upper Sanctuary, located upstairs in the Sanctuary building, is a place for creating art as an expression of faith. It is broadly defined and includes everything from sewing, knitting and needlework to soul collage, seasonal creations, and spiritual writing. No particular expertise is required. The Upper Sanctuary is a place for exploring faith in art at whatever level you enjoy.
